This training plan is great for cyclists looking at riding a century or other long ride. Over the 24 weeks the various options of the plan build your fitness. It will work through four phases, building your aerobic base, adding in some strength work on the hills, before building your threshold and aerobic capacity.
Whether you train with a power meter, heart rate monitor or no device this plan has options for you, including options for both beginner and intermediate cyclist.
When you’ve completed your 100 mile (160km) Century, you will have accomplished something special.
Starting 24 weeks before Your century (you can start any Monday), this plan progresses through phases to build you to your peak performance. You will build up to cycling to over five hours in a single session.
