I’ve got one more week until my next race, my training up to this point has been going well and my confidence in my running has improved immensely.
I have found a routine that keeps me consistent and disciplined to my training plan, this has been to get my runs and trainings done in the morning so I can get it out of the way, I have noticed this has allowed me to focus purely on my set training and be fresh from my sleep.
I’ve always wanted to be a morning person but have always struggled to get into that routine, not sure what changed but I think the locations I have been have helped in this effect and I have now become used to getting up and out the door feeling ready to train and start my day.
In hand with this I’ve ensured to keep up my fuelling of my body and getting all the nutrients I need to keep my body healthy and running at the level I’m using it at, as well as rest and recovery making sure I’m stretching all my muscles and sleeping enough to recover efficiently.
With all of these being in routine and consistent my training has felt much easier and honestly more enjoyable, I’ve always loved my training but this has allowed me to feel my best in all ways every time I start my watch.
I’m looking forward to see how much my training has helped me this coming weekend and see what I can produce under competitive circumstances.
