Super-Fast Steak and Mash
Qwik, simple and wow the cannellini mash is such a surprising component. I would never have thought to mash them.
Servings: 4
Calories: 373kcal
Ingredients
- 4 x 150 grams lean beef fillet steaks
- 3 tsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic curshed
- 2 x 400 grams cans cannellini beans drained, rinsed
Instructions
- Heat a frying pan over a high heat. Brush steaks with 2 teaspoons oil and cook each side for 2-5 minutes, or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Cover loosely and rest for 5 minutes
- Meanwhile, heat remaining oil in a saucepan. Add garlic. Cook for 1 minute. Add beans. Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated though. Process with a stick blender until smooth (adding 1-2 tablespoons hot water if needed).
- Serve steak and cannellini mash with a large green salad.
Notes
Add cayenne or a few drops of hot sauce to mash for a kick. Serve with pan-fried salmon and topped with roasted cherry tomatoes.

Although I’m not a qualified chef I do like to pretend I’m on Master Chef. I source the recipes from the stated source (not sauce) and make them by taking photos of the meal I produce for myself.
