Update on the kittens that I found last week. They are very happy with full belly’s, they are already getting bigger and more playful which is a good sign.
This week in my training it was my first week back into full swing with no interruptions other than the kittens pushing back my Sunday training to Monday.

Running the New York Marathon has been on my bucket list for years. So it was pretty exciting to be amongst the 50,000 starters at this year’s event, made even more special with my daughter Tayla lining up next to me for what would be her first ever marathon.
I had heard it was like going to a street party, running through the five New York boroughs of Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Manhattan. Biggest marathon in the world. Thousands of fans lining the streets with cheering, bands, signs. Finishing in Central Park. What could be better?

On 22 March 2022 I had an L4 & L5 Discectomy. My first question after Surgery to my Surgeon was “When can I run again?”
He said that “NO one had ever asked that question. Mostly they ask about pain, movement, work etc. Nine out of ten individuals will not run again. Not that they can’t but mentally are afraid”.

I had a failed attempt at the TUM Miler in 2020 due to my body rebelling against me at the Titoki aid station (I projectile vomited five times) which I took as a sign to call an end to my first go at a miler. This was about 9 or 10 weeks after a hernia op so my time on feet etc weren’t where I wanted them to be. Being a stubborn type of I immediately set my sights on TUM Miler 2021.
